the vescio family {orlando fl family photographer}

This family holds a really special place in my heart!

Several years ago, Stacey and I were sorority sisters at UCF (Delta Gamma, woohoo!).  After graduation, I moved away from Orlando and life just sort of happened (got married, started a new job, etc) – I lost touch with a lot of friends and sisters, but was delighted to reconnect with everyone when I finally joined facebook a couple of years ago.  Stacey was one of those girls who I was so happy to find again, and I loved seeing what she was up to and where life had taken her.  Turned out she’d married the cute fraternity guy she dated in college and they had two super pretty little girls!  Oh, and she and her husband Ryan had had the good sense to stay in the Orlando area and not defect to the north, like me;)

Fast forward to the first Florida trip this year, the big one in April, where I shot 8 sessions in 10 days and make a total whirlwind of a visit, in general.  Stacey’s girls were one of the sessions I shot on Cocoa Beach here.  She was pregnant at the time with #3, who was a boy, and I remember being wistful and sad that I lived too far away to take any pictures of him when we was born.  We hugged and promised to meet up in April 2012 when I made another shooting trip.

THEN.  Little Owen couldn’t wait to join his family and was born on May 18th at 36 weeks.  He had to stay in the NICU for a couple of weeks to practice his breathing, but was perfect and so cute from the pictures that I saw on facebook!  It was during this time that Ryan emailed me and basically said that he wanted to surprise Stacey with a newborn/family session, and was I available for a travel assignment?  Ummm – YES!  I think I was bouncing off the walls with excitement!  We scheduled the session for when Owen would be home from the hospital and on June 26th, I flew into town and 4 hours later was at their home taking these pictures!  It was so awesome to get to see the whole family again.  They are all so full of life and love and it’s just a blast being around them!

So without further ado – Owen and his sweet family!

Yawwwnn…  Owen, am I boring you??;)

One of my all-time favorite pictures!  They were so sweet, cuddling and kissing him!!

I have to say that Ryan reminds me a lot of my husband.  He is not afraid to rough-house and be totally silly with his kids!  Such a fabulous family man!

GO KNIGHTS!

Stacey and Ryan, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.  Thank you for thinking of me for this session, thank you for the opportunity, thank you for being you.  I am so thankful to count you as friends!

Thank you! This was the sweetest blog, reading it melted my heart. I am so fortunate we were able to reconnect and you were able to take our pictures. They are all over my house. I hope you are still planning to come back in the spring so we can reconnect again.

What a beautiful family. Lila, you did such a great job capturing everyone’s individual personalities and the love that they all share. I love that it doesn’t look “staged”, but natural.
