One thing I’ve learned over the past two and a half years here in western Michigan is, you don’t take the sunshine for granted! It was easy to expect the sun to make an appearance when we lived in Florida; here, however, we have more than our fair share of overcast and gloomy days (particularly in the winter). So anytime I can go out and photograph some fun in the sun, I’m game! This evening, I met up with a couple of phenomenal photographer friends and we had a great time splashing in the river and photo-ing each other’s children. The sunlight was filtering down through the trees and it just felt magical.
